O Say Can You Please Entry 4: Don’t Go Chasing Border Walls     Valentine’s Day was an interesting day for the world of politics this year with the confirmation of a new (for a second time) Attorney General and the prevention of another shutdown, albeit with a price. To begin, we will talk about the confirmation of William Barr, who is now Trump’s new AG. According to the Politico article that is my source, he was confirmed by a 54-45 vote with three Democrats supporting him and one Republican (Rand Paul) opposing him. He seems like an honorable enough guy though, with him allowing Mueller to finish his investigation… ( Whispers from an associate )... Oh sorry! I take back what I just said, as the Democrats have apparently expressed concern that he would not be impartial and/or release the concluding report of the investigation publicly. O Say Can You Please Entry 3: Northam by Northwest Today, I am writing about something I did not expect: A Democratic governor from Virginia named Ralph Northam is in deep trouble over a yearbook photo from medical school. It wasn’t just any photo, but one with two young men, with one in blackface and the other in a KKK hood. We do not know which one Northam was, but either way, it’s still inconceivably disgusting that he’d even consider this. This photo was taken 30 years ago, but even then, blackface and a Klan hood were only used a shock comedian’s last refuge (or by the actual Klan). The picture was first publicly shown by right-wing (and that’s putting it politely) website Big League Politics, who I first heard of in a HuffPost report which called them worse than Breitbart in the headline.
